Caf officials inspect Nyayo Stadium ahead of Chan 2018

Confederation of African Football officials have inspected Nyayo Stadium to measure its readiness for hosting the upcoming Chan 2018 tournament.

The officials are in the country for five days with the aim of inspecting stadia in Nairobi, Eldoret, Meru and possibly Machakos so as to file a report which will either increase or lower chances of Kenya’s ambition to host the continental competition.

LOC event director Herbert Mwachiro had also made a pre-inspection visit in Eldoret ahead of the Caf delegation.

The competition is set to be played as from January 11, 2018 and Kenya will never want to lose the hosting right. If Kenya misses out on this, it will be the second time the country is failing to host a continental competition after failing to stage Afcon in 1996.
