Brainstorm on Indian Football at FICCI GOAL 2018

As part of their bid to promote sports development in India, The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is set to conduct the 5th edition of GOAL – a one-day convention on the business of football.
 
India’s largest international convention on the business of football, FICCI GOAL 2018, which is also supported by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) will be held on 23rd January, 2018, at Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.
 
The conference aims to provide a platform for relevant global and domestic industry stakeholders to discuss the beautiful game in India with key focus on the various business opportunities unfolding along with the rapid growth of the Indian football ecosystem.
 
The initiative was established by FICCI and AIFF to support the development of the Indian football industry and promote strategic dialogue around the game.  GOAL 2018 will look to build off of the success of its previous editions.
 
There will be sessions with dialogue on the various pertinent topics in Indian football, including a policy framework for the future and the business of football during the conclave.
 
Issues like promoting the game in educational institutions and creating a social change using football, the attraction the game holds for private sector in the country to invest, the betterment of women's football are all expected to be taken up.
 
With India gaining global attention after hosting the FIFA U17 World Cup, eminent speakers from the football fraternity will also be involved a strategic discussion on how to harness the momentum the game has gained after hosting the showpiece event last October.
 
There are several high-profile names gracing the convention with the likes of Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Shri Rahul Bhatnagar, Secretary-Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, Mr. Kushal Das,  General Secretary, AIFF, Mr. Deepak Jacob, President & General Counsel, STAR India & Chairman, FICCI Sports Committee, Richard Hood (Head of Player Development, AIFF), Vivek Sethia (CEO, Arsenal Soccer Schools India all addressing the gathering.
