Clemson vs Syracuse team news & key players

Clemson Tigers team news

Clemson fell to 1-2 after stumbling late against Georgia Tech. Quarterback Cade Klubnik threw for 207 yards and a touchdown while rushing for another 62 yards and a score, but the Tigers went cold in the fourth quarter and managed just four conversions on 11 third-down tries.

Bryant Wesco Jr. shone with 126 receiving yards and a touchdown, yet Clemson’s defense had its own issues, allowing 211 passing yards on 71% completions. It marked their second straight loss and kept them winless against the spread this season.

Syracuse Orange team news

Syracuse’s offense erupted last week, piling up 620 total yards and nine touchdowns. Quarterback Steve Angeli torched Colgate’s secondary for 417 yards and five scores through the air, while also sneaking in a rushing touchdown.

His favorite target, Darrell Gill Jr., went off for 152 yards and two touchdowns. While the attack looked sharp, the Orange defense continued to show cracks, yielding 301 passing yards and another 107 on the ground. Through three games, Syracuse is surrendering 439 yards per contest, a number that ranks near the bottom of the FBS.
