Former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg believes Tottenham Hotspur must be considered serious contenders for this season’s Europa League title – if they can avoid a late-season collapse.
Spurs face Belgian club Gent in the round of 32 on Thursday and Ljungberg says he has been impressed by Mauricio Pochettino’s side but is unsure as to whether they can sustain their form.
“They have a good side, they work hard for each other,” Ljungberg said.
“First of all, I’m an Arsenal fan, so it’s difficult to say that Spurs are favourites for anything, but in general I think they look like one of the favourites in the tournament.
“They are having a good season, they are working hard, so I think the main thing is to see if they can keep on going or if they will dip at the end of the season like they have done in the past."Team Larsson or Team Ljungberg?
