Having produced 12 goals in their two previous encounters, Al Hain-Cole expects Die Bullen and Heynckes' team to waste little time in finding the net

The standout clash of the German Cup second round takes place at the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday as RB Leipzig take on Bayern Munich.

Having won five of their last six matches, Die Bullen are available at 14/5 (3.80) with dabblebet to record their first ever victory against their heavyweight opponents.

However, Jupp Heynckes has won three games from three since taking temporary command after Carlo Ancelotti's dismissal, and is on offer at 5/6 (1.83) to make it four in a row in this one.

Two of the hosts' last three home games in this competition have resulted in draws, and you can get odds of 11/4 (3.75) on them taking this one into extra-time after another deadlocked 90 minutes.

Having led the team to a famous treble in his last season in charge, Heynckes was an obvious safe pair of hands to steer the team back on track after a shaky start to the season.

Despite his wealth of experience, the 72-year-old will be faced with a brand new challenge as he takes on a team that was only founded in 2009 and was playing in the regional divisions when he last retired.

It could be a rude awakening considering the two league games between the teams last season produced an impressive nine goals, while Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team have been in prolific form of late with nine goals in four matches.

With seven of those goals having been scored before the break, last season’s Bundesliga runners-up should waste little time in showing Heynckes what they can do here and given Die Roten have struck four first-half goals in the last three matches themselves, odds of 5/4 (2.25) seem generous on at least two going in before half-time for the third successive encounter between these sides.

That bet would have paid out in three of Leipzig’s last five fixtures, as well as six of Bayern’s previous eight in all competitions.
