Premier League Betting: Sergio Aguero cut to 7/2 to win Golden Boot after Huddersfield hat-trick

Sergio Aguero has been cut to 7/2 (4.50) to win the Premier League Golden Boot after scoring a hat-trick against Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s men romped to a 6-1 win to compound a miserable start to the season for the Terriers, with Aguero’s treble being complemented by strikes from Gabriel Jesus, David Silva and an own goal by Terence Kongolo.

The Argentine was as long as 7/1 (8.0) with bet365 to win the Golden Boot on Saturday morning, but the odds compiler saw fit to slash that figure to just 7/2 (4.50) after his hat-trick.

However, Aguero still trails Harry Kane in the stakes after the Tottenham striker netted his first ever Premier League goal in August on his 15th appearance in the month and is now 10/3 (4.33) to be top scorer.

Impressively, Kane won the Golden Boot in two of the last three seasons without scoring in August but he finally broke that duck with Spurs’ third in a 3-1 win against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Last season’s top scorer Mohamed Salah, who netted a record 32 times on his way to claiming the crown, is 4/1 (5.0) to make it two in a row.

Liverpool’s Egyptian King got off the mark in the Reds’ 4-0 win over West Ham last week and will be out to score at Selhurst Park on Monday night, as he did in March when Jurgen Klopp’s men beat Crystal Palace 2-1.

There were high hopes for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after he scored 10 times in just 13 appearances last term following his move from Borussia Dortmund in January, but the Arsenal striker has failed to get off the mark this term. As such, Aubameyang is now out at 10/1 (11.0) to scoop the prize.

Romelu Lukaku can be found at 11/1 (12.0) after he opened his account for the season against Brighton on Sunday, whilst Sadio Mane is available at 14/1 (15.0) and Gabriel Jesus at 16/1 (17.0) .
