Posta Rangers coach justifies Nakumatt draw

Posta Rangers head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo is blaming the condition of the Afraha Stadium’s field for their 0-0 draw against Nakumatt on Sunday.

Rangers had gone through ten matches unbeaten and were at the top of the table alongside Gor Mahia ahead of the Nakumatt match. With K’Ogalo lining up against Nzoia Sugar, the Mailmen knew that a win was a must for them if they wanted to retain their position.

However, all their attempts were thwarted by the Shoppers, who ensured that they walk home with one point from the battle. Coach ‘Pamzo’ says that Afraha Stadium was muddy and that the condition interefered with their game-plan hence the draw.

"We had to use long balls for the entire match because the pitch was very muddy. It was impossible to apply our strategy. Ball control in such a pitch, under those conditions was a big problem," he told kpl.co.ke.

Posta Rangers are now placed second behind Gor Mahia on the table.
