PKNS to face Perak, TFC against Felda in Malaysia Cup QFs

All four teams knew that they have already qualified for the knockout stage prior to the last group matches but now they know who their opponents are.

It will be enticing fixtures in the quartefinal stage of the 2018 Malaysia Cup after final placing in Group A and Group B were confirmed.

Despite rounding off their group stage campaign with a 2-3 defeat to Kuala Lumpur, Terengganu FC still finished top of Group A after Perak also stumbled in their final group match.

Perak's 2-1 loss away Felcra FC put paid to their hopes of finishing top of the group and thus will now face PKNS FC in the quarter finals stage.

The Red Ants completed their Group B fixtures in some style with a 5-0 thrashing of bottom placed PDRM to seal their status as group champions. Ironically, all the four quarterfinalists, K. Rajagopal's side were the only to win on the night.

But it wasn't to be the only big score from Group B as Melaka United annihilated Felda United with a 6-1 scoreline at Hang Jebat Stadium.

It was a case of too little too late for E. Elavarasan's boys with Felda still progressing to the next tagged where they will come up against Irfan Bakti's Terengganu.
