Marcus Rashford was the difference.

Manchester United and Liverpool resumed their historic rivalry at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime in a mouth-watering clash that was always set to be decided by the narrowest of margins.

United boss Jose Mourinho once again sent his side out to nullify a rampant Liverpool attack that had been taking the Premier League by storm all season.

Keen not to leave any space in behind for Jurgen Klopp’s dynamic counter-attacking frontline, the hosts stifled their opponents right from the off and had their brilliant young England international to thank for all three points as Rashford struck both goals in a vital 2-1 victory.

Indeed, United had just two shots on target in the 90 minutes – both of which were scored by Rashford, who has found the net with 29% of his shots against "Big Six" clubs in the Premier League.

His performance earned him a score of 90/100 on the Goal Pressure Index, presented by Sure and powered by Opta data, which sees him lead the line in the Pressure Index Team of the Week.

He is joined up front by Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Everton's Cenk Tosun, with the latter striking his first goal at Goodison Park to seal a 2-0 win for the Toffess over Brighton.

Hazard’s Chelsea colleague Willian leads the midfield, with his goal in his side’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace taking his tally to 13 goals for Chelsea in all competitions this season - his best ever return in a single campaign for the club.

His compatriot Kenedy joins him after the on-loan Chelsea starlet struck twice in a vital 3-0 victory for Newcastle over Southampton, opening the scoring after just 63 seconds to grab only his second ever PL goal.
