Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne continued his fine year by getting engaged to his girlfriend in Paris.

The Belgian followed City's disappointing 3-1 defeat by title rivals Chelsea but proposing to his missus, Michele Lacroix, under the Eiffel Tower on her birthday, and he revealed that she had said yes on his official Instagram account.

De Bruyne posted: "Happy birthday to my future wife. She said yes," while his fiancee wrote: "Today is my birthday and four days ago I got the best pre birthday surprise, I'm going to marry my best friend, partner in crime, love of my life... I said yes!! #MrsDeBruyne"

The Belgium international became a father in March when Lacroix gave birth to their son, Mason, and he has been a key figure for Pep Guardiola's side this season.
