James: Kano Pillars clash a good test for Niger Tornadoes

Niger Tornadoes' Iko James has urged his side to maintain their impressive form when they host Kano Pillars in their next Nigeria Professional Football League clash.

After collapsing to a late 1-0 defeat against Shooting Stars, the defender insists they must prove that their form this season is no fluke against Sai Masu Gida.

"We are making progress in terms of performance," James told Goal.

"Though inconsistent with our run of form, I'm sure we have made a good improvement. Kano Pillars will be a good test for us.

"There are a lot of things we can improve, in the boxes especially and defensively too.

"Kano Pillars will be a big game and especially a big game at home, it is important to get some good results from these kinds of games for the future.

"Pillars are not where they ought to be, but they have most of the experience players in the league and cannot be overlooked for the title.

"Every game is completely different, what I would like from my team is to go out and play. What happened in our last game against Shooting Stars will be corrected this time.

"We have put behind us the ugly defeat behind us and we have to fight for all available points against them."
