I had a good game in the first stanza, says Remo Stars’ Edozie

Remo Stars’ Ewelike Edozie claims he is satisfied with his performance in the first stanza of the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League.

But despite their bottom-placed position on the table, the defender feels the Sky Blue Stars still boasts of quality players, only that they were unlucky in the first half of the season.

"I had a good game in the first stanza of the season, I played up to expectation, tried my best and I tried to give my best to the team," Edozie told media.

"Remo Stars is a good team, we have quality players because so many teams in the first round found it so difficult to hold us but we were just unlucky."

He further admitted that their inability to take most of their chances in their away games is responsible for their current position on the log, but insists that they will improve their performances in the remainder of the season.

"We lost so many chances in away games and it also affected us from getting maximum points away from home, we will try our best possible to convert our chances well in the second stanza.

"Going into the second stanza, my teammates and myself are preparing so hard to ensure that we don't relegate at the end of the season."
