Shanghai Shenhua attacker Demba Ba could be set for another season in the Super Lig with reports that Gotzepe are interested in his services.
After a successful recovery from his horrific leg break- suffered in July 2016, Ba rejoined Besiktas on a loan from Shenhua in January and appeared on two occasions as the club lifted the league title.
The 32-year-old could be set for another season in the Turkish top flight with reports that Gotzepe are looking to make the former Chelsea man their first signing since their promotion.
Fanatik reports that Gotzepe are indeed interested in Ba but would only take him if Shenhua agrees to continue paying his salary.
But it seems that Tamer Tuna has also set his sight on another African forward should Ba’s deal fall through.
Sporx understands that Gotzepe were thrilled with Asamoah Gyan’s failed move to Bursaspor as they are also keeping tabs on the well-travelled 31-year-old.
Gyan is reportedly keen to return to Europe this season but it remains to be seen if the move to the Izmir side will materialise after the collapse of his proposed move to Bursa.
