Gor Mahia fans advised to start journey to Machakos early

Gor Mahia CEO Ludovick Aduda is advising fans who would wish to watch the Champions League match against Leones Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea on Saturday to start their journey early.

To avoid the last-minute rush, fans will have to organize themselves well to get to the match venue in good time, knowing that good attendance will be key to K'Ogalo's chase for the much-needed win in the opening round.

"There is normally heavy traffic in some sections of Mombasa road due to trucks and fans from Nairobi will have to leave early in the morning (by 9 or latest 10) to be in Machakos in good time for the match," Aduda told the club website.

Coupled with the fact that tickets will go on sale on the match day outside the Stadium, poor attendance could significantly jeopardize Gor Mahia chances of progressing past the preliminary rounds of the Caf competition.

A VIP ticket will retail at Sh500 with the terraces going for Sh200. The match will kick off at 3.00 PM.
