Getafe v Barcelona Betting: Catalans to get going early en route to victory

Barcelona continue to make a mockery of the notion that they are a club in crisis, with the side producing a practically perfect start to the season.

Since their 5-1 aggregate defeat to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup last month, Ernesto Valverde's men have won their opening three La Liga games, while Tuesday evening saw them record a hugely impressive 3-0 victory over Juventus in the Champions League.

The Blaugrana's record reads four consecutive wins, 12 goals scored, none conceded and the Catalans head to Getafe on Saturday afternoon full of confidence, although their opponents this weekend have also made a relatively positive start to the campaign by picking up four points from their opening three matches and putting in some strong performances.

They were the better side at San Mames against Athletic Bilbao in a 0-0 draw, while they dominated Sevilla at times before conceding late on to lose 1-0 in their last home match; their first victory came last weekend in a local derby against Leganes, and Jose Bordalas will be hoping his team can build on those showings.

It will be extremely tough, however, for Getafe and dabblebet price them at 9/1 (10.00) to record a first win against Barca since 2011, meanwhile the visitors can be backed at 2/7 (1.28) with the draw available at 5/1 (6.00).

The visitors' excellent start to the season is down in large part to the form of Lionel Messi, who has scored seven goals in the last three games, and in the only game in which he has not scored this term, he hit the woodwork three times.

The Argentine has enjoyed games against Getafe in the past, netting 16 times in all competitions against Los Azulones and he can surely fire Barca to another victory in Madrid.

Last season's Copa Del Rey winners are priced at 6/4 (2.50) to win with a -2 handicap and that is possibly worthy of some interest, although more tempting are the odds of evens (2.00) for over 1.5 goals in the first half.

With Messi in this kind of form, Barca will be tough to stop and that should lead to a high scoring first half at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Alternatively, if you fancy Getafe to hold their own at home then you can back under 2.5 match goals on dabblebet at a boosted 3/1 (4.0) - an industry-best price.
