Nasarawa United's Dogo rues missed chances

Nasarawa United coach, Kabir Dogo expresses displeasure at his strikers' profligacy in Sunday's 2-0 loss to Abia Warriors.

The Solid Miners, according to Dogo, failed to execute the team's plan despite exhibiting a strong display in the second half.

"Creating goal scoring opportunities is important but burying those chances is even more important," Dogo told Goal.

"We created a lot of chances but found it difficult to convert. I think it's a global challenge which coaches around the world must find a solution to.

"The way my strikers failed to score goals is a big concern. We agreed to attack all through but in the first half of the match we failed to do that but when came back in the second half, we did very well.

"Though the pitch at the Umuahia stadium doesn't in any way encourage good football."

Nasarawa United now sit ninth in the Nigeria Professional Football League standings.
