Dede relishing Jordan reunion in Saturday league action

West Ham United attacker Andre Ayew is bent on picking three points when he comes up against younger brother Jordan in the Premier League on Saturday.

Aside Ghana’s national outfit, the siblings played together during their time with French club Marseille, but will this time around be on opposing sides when West Ham welcome Swansea City to the Liberty Stadium.

Interestingly, Andre was on the books of the Swans last season, netting 12 times in 34 league outings before being snapped up by the Hammers in the summer.

“We’ve never had a rivalry,” Ayew said, as reported by his club’s official website.

“We’re very close and we try to help each other to give our best and to do better.

“We are only a year-and-a-half different in age, so we grew up together and talk about everything.

“We’ve played against each other a few times now, and we played together for the national team and Marseille, so it’s always nice.

“It’s a different feeling and I’m always happy to meet him on and off the pitch, but I always want to win.”

While Andre played for Swansea last season, Jordan was with Aston Villa.

And it was indeed a memorable day for the family when the Lions welcomed the Jack Army to the Villa Park.

Both men were on target but it was Andre who walked off the pitch the happier lad as Swansea run out 2-1 victors.
