Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi targets Carabao Cup glory vs. Manchester City

Alex Iwobi is targeting the League Cup glory when Arsenal go head to head with Manchester City for the final game at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The Nigeria international who has won two Community Shields and one FA Cup with the Gunners has become an integral part of Arsene Wenger’s side this season featuring in 26 games, scoring two goals and contributing four assists.

And ahead of the clash with Pep Guardiola’s men, the 21-year-old who is looking forward to his fourth title has charged his teammates to be at their best so as to secure the diadem.

“It’s the ambition of every footballer to lift as many trophies as possible during his playing career and it would mean a lot to me to add this trophy to the silverware I have won so far,” Iwobi told Soccer Laduma.

“I am very excited at the opportunity of playing another match at Wembley Stadium.

“This is a very important game for us as we have to keep the momentum going until the end of the season.

“We have a very good chance of winning the trophy and will have to be at our best to beat Manchester City, as they are a very good team.”
