Arsenal players want Aaron Ramsey stay, says Alex Iwobi

Alex Iwobi has revealed that Arsenal players want Aaron Ramsey to continue his stay at the Emirates.

The 27-year-old joined the Gunners in 2008 from Cardiff City and has made 241 appearances for the side, scoring 36 goals.

The Wales international is in the final year of his contract but discussions between his representative and the board of the club have not been successful.

Manchester United, Liverpool as well as Italian giants Juventus are thought to be interested in securing his signature should he decide to leave the North London outfit.

However, the Nigeria international who stated his admiration for the midfielder hopes he can reach an agreement with the board.

"He’s a great player. When I was breaking into the first team, I always used to watch and learn things from him. I am still doing that today," Iwobi told BT Sport.

"It would be a great miss if he goes but hopefully he can stay. We all want him to stay. Hopefully it can get sorted."

Ramsey has won three FA Cup titles and two community Shield trophy. He was named Arsenal Player of the Year on two occasions.
