RB Leipzig have steadied themselves after a turbulent start to the season, stringing together two consecutive victories and clean sheets that have quieted early doubts about Martin Demichelis. A commanding 6-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga was followed by a disciplined 1-0 home victory over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, with Brajan Gruda scoring the decisive goal. Those results have lifted Leipzig to fifth in the Bundesliga table and given the squad genuine momentum heading into a demanding stretch of fixtures.

The turnaround matters because the pressure on Demichelis had been building fast. Reports from Sport Bild and Sky had placed his position under scrutiny after a poor run that included a 1-4 defeat to Como in the Champions League opener and back-to-back Bundesliga losses. Julian Nagelsmann's name circulated as a potential replacement, though Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer Roger Schmidt dismissed the speculation publicly, telling ZDF that Leipzig were far from any coaching change and that Demichelis had the club's full support.

Squad depth remains a concern. Winger Johan Bakayoko served a disciplinary suspension and has struggled badly for form and focus since joining from PSV, while Christoph Baumgartner and several others remain injured. Saturday's Bundesliga trip to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena will be the clearest measure yet of how far this recovery has genuinely gone.
