FC Saint-Etienne Overview

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez took time out during international duty to return to his former side Racing Club ahead of their derby clash. The striker, who was warmly greeted by club president Diego Milito, subsequently spoke about the national team's looming transitional phase as Lionel Messi approaches his final farewell match against Benin.

The romance of returning to where it all began can often be impossible to ignore, and in some cases, can serve as the perfect cap for a remarkable career

Former Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has been handed a four-match ban following a chaotic sequence of events in Argentina. The veteran centre-back was sanctioned after a violent incident during a high-stakes clash between Racing Club and River Plate, proving his fiery temperament remains intact as he faces mounting disciplinary issues in his homeland.

Lautaro Martinez remains a cornerstone of Inter, but his heart still beats strongly for Racing Club. The striker, who left Argentina in 2018 to join the Nerazzurri, remains an iconic figure for Racing fans and has confirmed his long-term goal to 'convince' wife to return to the Argentine giants in the future.
