Club América approach this contest on the back of a mixed start to the Liga MX Apertura and a draw against Necaxa in their last outing. André Jardine’s side is stacked with attacking talent, but some key absences continue.

Star striker Henry Martín is sidelined with a thigh injury and will not feature, while creative midfielder Álvaro Fidalgo is still recovering from a knee injury. Jonathan Dos Santos and Alejandro Zendejas have recently dealt with knocks, and at least Dos Santos is unlikely to start.
