Wolves target William Carvalho


Wolves are the latest team to register interest in Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho, according to Diario de Sevilla.

Leicester, Watford, Tottenham and Monaco are said to be interested in the Portuguese star, although Wolves may have an advantage given the club's Portuguese connections.

Betis, though, are in no rush to sell as the club waits to see what the market looks like after the coronavirus' spread is stopped. 

FC Dallas expect to complete Jara deal


FC Dallas are still expecting to sign Pachuca's Franco Jara in July.

Jara signed a pre-contract with the club in January, and manager Luchi Gonzalez says he expects that contract to hold up despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"Our plan is the normal plan, is to have him here the same time we planned to have him before, which was in this July moment of the transfer window," Gonzalez said according to

 "I know that transfer window could change, based on decisions of MLS or FIFA or Liga MX. But I can not control that, we can not control that. Our plan has to stay the same. So our expectation is that he’s here joining the group by July, and I know that’s the same feeling for him as well. But also with the right focus like we said, focused on him doing the best for Pachuca in this moment."

'Ozil intends to see out Arsenal deal'


Mesut Ozil's agent says that the midfielder expects to see out the final year of his Arsenal contract.

Ozil has been linked with Fenerbahce, but his agent says that the expectation is that he will remain in London.

Several clubs consider bid for Lyon's Traore

The 24-year-old is eyeing a move away from Lyon after the club failed to qualify for European football following the early end to the Ligue 1 campaign.

Valencia eye move for Mexico star Montes


Valencia are eyeing a move for Monterrey defender Cesar Montes, according to Marca.

The 23-year-old Mexico international is looking to leave Liga MX in search of an opportunity with a club in Europe. 

Ajax and Porto are also considering a bid for Montes, who has been a regular in Liga MX since he was 18.

Walker-Peters hoping for Southampton loan extension


Kyle Walker-Peters is hoping his loan will be extended so he can finish the season with Southampton, reports Sky Sports.

The Tottenham right-back's loan expires on June 30, but the Premier League season would extend beyond that date should it restart after its coronavirus suspension.

Saints are eyeing the 23-year-old for a possible permanent transfer should he impress with the club.

Man Utd 'two or three' signings away from competing with Liverpool


Edwin van der Sar is hoping that Manchester United are "two or three new additions" away from starting to compete with Liverpool.

The Red Devils are well off the pace of Jurgen Klopp's side, sitting in fifth place, 37 points behind Premier League-leading Liverpool.

According to Fussball Transfers, Dest has decided to leave Ajax this summer with Bayern seen as his top destination.

The coach is expected to take up a new role with the Italian club that would serve as a combination of sporting director and head coach.

And Rangnick has been preparing for that role for some time as he's looked to learn the language even before official confirmation of his hiring.

Emilio Estevez has signed with ADO Den Haag.

The Canadian Premier League announced on Tuesday that the midfielder has become the first player in league history to seal a transfer to a major European league.

The former York9 FC midfielder represents Chinese Taipei at the international level.

Dimitar Berbatov says that he thinks Jadon Sancho should remain at Borussia Dortmund despite ongoing links to Manchester United.

The Croatia international has long been linked with a move away from Camp Nou, with Inter reported to have been another of his suitors in Serie A.

Haaland backed to 'succeed' at Real Madrid in the future


Erling Haaland "is ready to play for Real Madrid", according to former Byrne FK manager Alf Ingve Berntsen, who thinks the Borussia Dortmund striker is capable of starring alongside Karim Benzema at Santiago Bernabeu.

Haaland has enjoyed a remarkable 2019-20 campaign which has seen him emerge as one of the most deadly finishers in European football.

The 19-year-old began the season on Red Bull Salzburg's books, and made his mark in the Champions League while also scoring goals for fun in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Man Utd eyeing Argentine playmaker Almada


Velez Sarsfield midfielder Thiago Almada has emerged on Manchester United's transfer radar - according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Red Devils have already made an approach for the 19-year-old, who has also been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks.

Almada has a €25 million (£22m/$27m) release clause in his current contract, but United are hoping to secure his signature for a reduced fee.

Inter have emerged as the frontrunners in the race to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali - according to Sky Italia.

Former Ajax winger Jesper Gronkjaer has advised Donny van de Beek to snub the advances of Real Madrid and Barcelona, and instead join a Premier League club such as Chelsea or Tottenham

Van de Beek has been widely tipped to leave the Amsterdam ArenA this summer, with Madrid having been heavily linked with the Netherlands international during the past 12 months following his starring role in Ajax's run to the 2019 Champions League semi-finals. 

However, Gronkjaer believes that the 23-year-old would be better suited to English football due to his Frank Lampard-like attributes as a midfielder.

Bidding war set to erupt for Bayern star

Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Kinglsey Coman - according to Sky Germany.

The German champions may be prepared to sell the 23-year-old if a proposed deal for City star Leroy Sane goes through this summer.

Coman has struggled with injuries this season, but has still featured in 24 matches in all competitions for Bayern.

‘Why would you join Man Utd or Chelsea over Liverpool?’


Liverpool do not have to “scrape the barrel anymore” when it comes to transfer targets, admits John Barnes, with a Reds icon wondering why anyone would now favour a switch to Manchester United or Chelsea over a move to Anfield.

Barcelona step up Pjanic pursuit


Barcelona have, according to ESPN, stepped up their efforts to bring in Miralem Pjanic from Juventus.

Any agreement will rest on the Bianconeri accepting a player in part-exchange, with various options having been mooted.

Inter keen on Verona starlet Kumbulla


Verona defender Marash Kumbulla has emerged as a transfer target for Inter - according to Calcio Mercato.

The Nerazzurri could sign the 20-year-old for a fee within the region of €25 million (£22m/$27m) when the transfer market reopens.

Inter have a good relationship with Verona which is likely to give them a strong footing in any negotiations for Kumbulla, who has also been linked with Lazio.

PSG looking to bring in Milan duo


Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Milan duo Ismael Bennacer and Lucas Paqueta - according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Ligue 1 champions have already seen an opening offer for the former rejected, but haven't given up on securing his signature.

PSG sporting director Leonardo is also determined to bring in Paqueta, who has yet to live up to his full potential at San Siro.

Brazilian forward touted for Old Trafford switch

Manchester United are planning to launch a £35 million ($43m) summer bid for Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius - as The Sun reports.

The 25-year-old still has four years left to run on his current contract, which includes a release clause of £88 million ($108m).

However, United are hopeful a cut-price deal for Vinicius can be done amid the coronavirus crisis, as they look to add a Brazilian frontman who has hit 20 goals in 33 games for Benfica this season to their ranks.

Barca set sights on Tottenham's Foyth


Tottenham defender Juan Foyth is the subject of interest from Barcelona - according to Mundo Deportivo.

River Plate and Boca Juniors are also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, who has struggled for regular playing time under Jose Mourinho.

Barca are well placed to win the race for Foyth's signature, and could include Samuel Umtiti in any possible deal.

Arsenal to not pursue second Ceballos loan spell


Arsenal has decided to not pursue another loan period with Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos with the midfielder's future reportedly in question.

The 23-year-old's current loan with the Gunners expires at the end of the season and the club has no plans to permanently sign or re-loan the Spaniard, according to El Confidencial.

Ceballos is understood to want to fight for his future at the Bernabeu, instead of securing a move away.

Juventus star Miralem Pjanic rejected a transfer to Manchester United after Barcelona became interested.

According to Sport, the 30-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international recieved offers from the Red Devils and PSG but turned them down when Barca made a play for his services.

Sport says Pjanic has a verbal agreement with Barcelona with the Catalans offering a number of players as part of a swap deal.


Mbappe can follow in Ronaldo's footsteps at Real Madrid - Cannavaro


Fabio Cannavaro believes Real Madrid need Kylian Mbappe so he can follow in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps, but feels it will be tough to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star.

Mbappe, 21, continues to be linked with a move to Madrid from PSG, where he has starred during the past three seasons.

Madrid have found it hard to replace Ronaldo, who decided to leave the La Liga giants and join Juventus in 2018.

Mariners CEO denies Birighitti is moving to Western United


Western United are not signing Central Coast goalkeeper Mark Birigihitti, according to the Gosford club's chief executive Shaun Mielekamp.

According to the World Game, the 29-year-old is close to signing a deal with the A-League franchise for next season.

But Mielekamp denied that a transfer was close to happening via his Twitter account.

Mexico star Moreno reveals how close he was to joining Barcelona


Mexican defender Hector Moreno has revealed he nearly joined Barcelona in 2014 before his catastrophic injury at the World Cup derailed the move.

Moreno was a member of Espanyol at the time and was a key figure for Mexico heading into the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The defender had been linked with a number of clubs in the leadup to that World Cup, with Tottenham and Manchester United also reportedly among the suitors.

Inter and Barca had agreed to a deal in January that would see the Catalan side pay the forward's full release clause.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent scouts to watch Dembele at least three times this season and, although Chelsea are also interested, Dembele prefers Man Utd.

Laporta is gearing up for another run at the club's presidency, and he says he hopes to bring back the manager that he initially hired in 2008.

Locadia hopes for Cincy stay


Jurgen Locadia says that he fully intends to stay at FC Cincinnati despite his loan expiring on July 5.

The striker is on loan with the MLS side from Brighton & Hove with Cincy having the option of triggering a reported $10 million (£8m) deal to secure Locadia permanently.

“I had a conversation with my agent that it was my goal to stay here," Locadia told "He got in contact with Brighton, but it’s between the clubs now I guess. They know I want to stay here.”
