Former KPL stars to renew rivalry as Uganda face Burundi

Cecafa Senior Challenge defending Champions Uganda Cranes have named a strong line-up to tackle Burundi in their opening match on Monday.

Cranes have a better record of eight wins, two draws and two losses in 12 meetings against the Swallows in all competitions.

Benjamin Ochan starts in goal with the experienced Nicholas Wadada among the defenders to shield him.

Former AFC Leopards midfielder Allan Kateregga has also been given a starting berth as the champions aim at starting the competition on a high.

Burundi will have Kwizera Pierre, Rachid Leone, Tresor Ndikumana and David Nsimirimana in defense. But all eyes will be on former Sofapaka man Fiston Abdul.
