Chelsea vs Leicester City Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Leicester City will be aiming to record a first win at Stamford Bridge since 2000 when they visit Chelsea in Saturday’s Premier League clash.

The Foxes have lost six and won none of the eight matches at this ground in all competitions since their last victory 18 years ago, when goals from Muzzy Izzet and Stan Collymore clinched a 2-0 victory.

Latest odds

Coming into this clash with just two wins to their name in 12 fixtures, they are 10/1 (11.00) outsiders with William Hill to pull off a shock win here.

In contrast, Maurizio Sarri’s team has won 11 and lost none of their 14 home games this campaign, and are clear 3/10 (1.30) to come out on top once again in this one.

The last two encounters between this pair have both resulted in draws after 90 minutes, and you can get odds of 17/4 (5.25) on this one also finishing up all square.

Team News

Alvaro Morata is a doubt due to the knee injury he sustained in last week’s Europa League tie with Vidi, while Gary Cahill and Victor Moses remain sidelined.

Jamie Vardy should be back after being rested for Tuesday’s EFL Cup tie with Manchester City, although Ben Chilwell will face a late fitness test and Daniel Amartey is a long-term absentee.

Low-scoring Leicester

Vardy’s return would certainly be welcome for Claude Puel’s side, who have scored just seven goals in their last 10 matches.

However, even the former England international is likely to be fighting a losing battle against the Blues, who have kept a clean sheet in each of their last five home games.

Predictions

In fact, Leicester’s track record of just one goal in their previous four matches at Stamford Bridge does not bode well for them having any joy in this clash, and even odds (2.00) appear generous on Chelsea winning to nil for their fifth game in succession.
