Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers Team News & Key Leaders

Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver looked dead and buried midway through Game 1, but rallied from behind to earn the win.

Brock Boeser has been a major force in the playoffs, leading the team with four goals and three assists. JT Miller has been solid in the playoffs with two goals and five assists.

Dakota Joshua has been a pleasant surprise, with three goals and four assists so far in the playoffs. Quinn Hughes has remained consistent with five assists.

Goaltender Arturs Silovs got the start in Game 1 of the series, allowing four goals from just 18 shots. He’s slated to be in the net again here, with Casey DeSmith and Thatcher Demko injured.

Edmonton Oilers

Forward Adam Henrique is dealing with a lower-body injury and isn't expected to feature. Mattias Janmark will likely slot into Henrique's place on Edmonton's top line.

The Oilers imploded in Game 1, but have the offensive firepower to cause problems here.

Connor McDavid has carried over his form into the playoffs with a goal and 12 assists in the playoffs. Leon Draisaitl, who is now listed day-to-day on the injury report, has been solid with five goals and seven assists in the postseason. Meanwhile, goals have arrived from an unlikely source in Zach Hyman. He has nine goals and an assist.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner should be back in goal but he'll need to bounce back from a poor performance in Game 1 when he conceded five goals from just 24 shots.

Head-to-Head Record

These two teams faced each other four times this season with Vancouver winning all four matchups.
