    The UEFA Nations League takes place during the international breaks in the European domestic leagues. These are scattered throughout the season, with the Finals then taking place once every two years during the summer months. These take place in odd years, so 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025.

    How does a team qualify for the UEFA Nations League?

    To play in the UEFA Nations League, a nation must be a UEFA-registered nation and simply submit an entry for the competition. The countries are then placed into groups based upon their FIFA Ranking, with the higher placed sides being grouped together, along with the lesser ranked sides. Group winners then go on to progress in the competition. The finals this year will take place in June, in the Netherlands.
