WHAT HAPPENED?
England and the USWNT have both fallen one spot in the rankings and have taken third and fifth, respectively. The USWNT, who won the SheBelieves Cup semi-final against Japan and the final against Canada on penalties before winning friendlies against South Korea, fell below Germany who won twice against Poland. England have been overtaken by France.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
World Champions Spain have remained atop compared to the March 15 rankings following their two European Championship qualifiers wins over Denmark. France have taken the second spot over England after taking one win and a loss against the Lionesses earlier this month.

DID YOU KNOW?
This is the USWNT's second consecutive fall in rankings after they rose up to second last December. They are now under Emma Hayes and haven't yet lost a game under the former Chelsea boss, and they will hope to rise to the top again after a disappointing end to 2023 and start to 2024.
WHAT NEXT?
England will return to action in July for their European Champions qualifiers against Ireland and Sweden, while Spain will do the same against Czech Republic and Belgium. USWNT, on the other hand, will play two friendlies in July in preparation for the Olympic Games.
