Revealed: Real Madrid’s stance on Kylian Mbappe at 2024 Olympics – with France president Emmanuel Macron persisting with pleas for gold medal bid in Paris

The World Cup-winning forward is expected to swap the French capital for the Spanish equivalent when reaching the end of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain and becoming a free agent. The newly-crowned La Liga champions are ready to welcome another ‘Galactico’ onto their books.

Mbappe does, however, have a busy summer lined up before pulling on a famous white shirt for the first time. He is set to lead France’s quest for European Championship glory on German soil. There has also been talk of him returning to his homeland for an Olympic gold medal bid.

France president Emmanuel Macron has been doing all he can to make that dream a reality. He recently crossed paths with Madrid supremo Florentino Perez at an event staged at the Elysee Palace to celebrate FIFA’s 120th anniversary.

According to Radio Marca, Macron was informed that Real will not allow any of their players to compete at the Olympics – as it is not a FIFA-sanctioned event. They are concerned about key men picking up injuries and want Mbappe to join their ranks at Santiago Bernabeu after his involvement at Euro 2024.
