  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Villa slipped to a 4-2 defeat on home soil, leaving them with a mountain to climb. They did battle back from two goals down to draw level at one stage, but did themselves few favours when making costly errors in the closing stages.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Luiz was responsible for a couple of those mistakes, as he conceded a 56th-minute penalty for handball. The Brazilian midfielder went on to fail from the spot himself, as he blasted wide of the post in the 84th minute. Despite those struggles, Lehmann has made a point of expressing her love for the South American.
