Lionesses star Millie Bright hilariously recreates iconic Rachel Daly picture during first England camp since Aston Villa forward's international retirement

Aston Villa star Daly announced her shock retirement from England duty in April, leading to a deluge of support from well-wishers. Chelsea defender and Daly were close friends and regularly posed for photos together. Following the Lionesses latest England camp, a double-header against France, the Blues centre-back pretended the 32-year-old was by her side in an amusing picture.

Alongside a multitude of photos, including one where she pretended Daly was beside her at St James' Park, she wrote on Instagram: "Life recently 📸 🦋🩵."

Bright ended her domestic season on a high as Chelsea secured a dramatic Women's Super League title at Manchester City's expense, in Emma Hayes' final season in charge as manager. The 30-year-old will focus on England duty and life after Hayes at Chelsea, whereas Daly will prioritise her club career going forward.

Daly and Bright will now enjoy their summer breaks before the latter returns for England duty in their next Euro 2025 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland at Carrow Road on July 12.
