AFP'No words of comfort' - Darwin Nunez posts tribute to Diogo Jota on social media after Liverpool team-mate dies in car crash
Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez posted a heartwarming tribute to colleague Diogo Jota after the Portuguese tragically passed away. Jota and his brother Andre Silva were involved in a car accident in Zamora, north-western Spain, shortly after midnight on Thursday. Nunez condoled the death while showing strength and solidarity with Jota's wife and children.

On Instagram, the Uruguayan forward wrote: "There are no words of comfort for so much pain. I will always remember you with your smile, as a good companion on and off the field. I send all my strength to his family, from where he is, I'm sure he will always be with you, especially his wife and three children. May he rest in peace. Diogo and Andre."

He then featured for Portugal in the Nations League final against Spain and emerged victorious as the Selecao won the title for the second time in history.
