  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Brighton midfielder played a key role as the Seagulls earned a third successive Premier League victory against United at Old Trafford. Brighton ran out comfortable 3-1 winners, partly thanks to a woeful display by Andre Onana in the United goal, and after the game Baleba allowed himself to offer the camera a little dance - and his 'griddy' was lapped up by rival fans, with Fernandes seen trudging down the Old Trafford tunnel behind him.

    WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

Some fans revelled in United's failure. @RobJohn81375888 said on X: "Baleba hitting the griddy at Old Trafford with Bruno fuming."

@cryptonian_0 added: "Baleba dancing on Bruno's grave."

Mohammed Zaheer posted: "Haha, love to see Carlos bringing the vibes to the tunnel! Bruno's face says it all though—definitely not amused! Just imagine the banter after the game! Keep those good times rolling, lads!"

Liverpool fan account @LFCAffair said: "Hahahaaa they own the place. Baleba can do that."

While @RedDevils83147, a United fan, was not amused, they had to accept Brighton's success. They said: "Those players deserve every bit of trolling they get, f***ing abysmal performance."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

In a bleak assessment of the situation of his new club, Ruben Amorim labelled this United side as the worst in the club's entire history. On current form, it is difficult to argue with the Portuguese coach who, in his two months in charge, has failed to make any drastic improvements to a squad that is on course to register its worst ever Premier League finish. While Brighton are a strong side and have long been punching above their weight in the division, few United fans will be will to accept yet another defeat to the Seagulls at home.

  • WHAT NEXT?

Talented 20-year-old midfielder Baleba has impressed for Brighton this season and will be looking to maintain his strong form next weekend against relegation-threatened Everton. Meanwhile, Fernandes and United will be aiming to bounce back when they face Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday night.
