'Stay strong Gabby' - Arsenal players follow through with tribute to ACL injury victim Gabriel Jesus as they wear special shirts ahead of north London derby against Tottenham

The Brazilian was stretchered off during Arsenal's FA Cup loss to Manchester United at the weekend, with it later being confirmed that the forward had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Before the north London derby on Wednesday, the Arsenal players wore special commemorative shirts - having been ridiculed for planning to do so - for the 27-year-old.

At times, Arsenal have been struggling for goals in attack this season, particularly after losing Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard for parts of the campaign. If Jesus is out for the rest of 2024-25, their chances of winning trophies this term will have taken a huge blow.

Mikel Arteta's side wore shirts with the name "G. Jesus" and his number nine squad number. The top also featured a message that read: "Stay strong Gabby".

It remains to be seen how long Jesus will be out injured for. After the Tottenham game, Arsenal host Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
