Tusker lands another 'minnows' in GOtv Shield quarters

GOtv Shield champions Tusker FC will take on Vihiga United in the quarter final.

The National Super League leaders felled Kenya Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz on post-match penalties to set up a quarter-final date with defending champions.

But of much interest in the quarters will be a clash between Bandari FC against fellow premier league side, Sony Sugar. The two sides have so far knocked out giants, with Bandari flooring Gor Mahia while Sony tossing out Ulinzi Stars in the round of 32.

Kariobangi Sharks booked a second consecutive GOtv Shield quarters after knocking out fellow premier league side, Sofapaka to set a date with minnows, Eldoret Youth.

Wazito FC sailed past GFE 105 at Kipchoge Keino Stadium and will now face off with the winner between AFC Leopards and Bidco United. Ingwe and Bidco clash was postponed to Wednesday.

Quarter final fixtures: Tusker vs Vihiga United, Bandari vs Sony Sugar, Kariobangi Sharks vs Eldoret Youth and Wazito vs AFC Leopards/Bidco United.
