Platinum Stars coach Johnson confident of beating Orlando Pirates

Platinum Stars always make it hard for Orlando Pirates at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium and Dikwena coach Cavin Johnson says that’s exactly what they will do on Wednesday evening.

“We are confident we can beat them at home. They are coming to our home ground, so we are going to try and do our best today, and try and hit the ground running against Pirates,” Johnson told Goal.

Prior to the break, Dikwena come off two draws in their last three games and a 4-0 win over Telkom Knockout champions Cape Town City in December.

“Before the break, everything went well. Everything went well during the mini pre-season as well, but it’s all about the ninety minutes tomorrow and let’s hope we do well," he added.

“The players looked sharp during training yesterday and let’s hope they put their best foot forward today and do what they did at home against Pirates a season ago,” Johnson concluded.

Under Johnson, Bucs have found it to break their North West counterparts down. The last five matches in all competitions between the two has led to five draws and one win for Dikwena.

It’s interesting to see what kind of result will prop up in Rustenburg come Wednesday evening.
