Modern Coast warn clubs: Striker is not for sale

As the mid-season transfer window gets underway, National Super League side Modern Coast Rangers have cautioned suitors to keep their hands off Francis Ocholla.

This is after revelations emerged that close to five clubs are chasing for Ocholla's signature. Rangers club secretary Ferdinand Ogot has revealed that Ocholla is one of the most dependable striker in the team and the ‘poachers’ should forget about acquiring him. "Francis Ocholla is one of the players we are banking on to win the NSL title. He has a valid contract with Modern Coast Rangers and those clubs, who think they can sign him are mislead," Ogot told Goal.

A number of suitors including Muhoroni Youth are chasing for the signature of the striker. Others suitors are Wazito, KCB and Palos. Francis Ocholla joined Modern Coast Rangers at the beginning of the season after a one year stint at Western Stima and has been the team’s most dependable scorer. After playing 15 matches, Rangers are placed in 10th position on the 19 team NSL log with 20 points, 15 points below joint leaders Vihiga United and Nairobi Stima.
