‘Gattuso’ sets target at Gor Mahia

Gor Mahia midfielder Collins ‘Gattuso’ Okoth has set his target for season 2017.

The combative midfielder, who is known for great talent in Kenya, has vowed not to be distracted by off pitch issues as he fights to guide K’Ogalo to their collective achievement.

While admitting having issues with head coach Ze Maria in the past, 'Gattuso' has asserted that playing all his heart out in a bid to fully make use of his abilities on the pitch, is his main aim.

“It’s true that we were not in good terms with Coach Ze Maria at some point but we have ironed out our issues and we are now great friends. He has told me that I’m in his plans and I’m also very ready to make him proud. I want to work hard on the pitch and turn a deaf ear on off the pitch issues,” he told Goal.

Gor Mahia won the 2017 KPL Super Cup after beating Tusker on Sunday.
