FC Ifeanyiubah defender, Olamilekan Adeleye says he is not bothered about his omission from the Super Eagles B team that will play in the African Nations Championship.
Adeleye fractured one of his toes last month while playing for the national side during the LMC Super 6 invitational tournament and he looks forward to resuming light training next week.
“I have taken it in good fate. Injuries are part of this sport and I am at the receiving end. I am grateful to God that the fracture is healing very fast and by next week I should start light training,” Adeleye told Goal.
“It will be too early for me to talk about making an appearance on the opening day of the season on January 14. I will always be in touch with my doctors and whatever they advise is my call.
“I would have loved to be in the team but I don’t have any hard feelings with that. Life is better of every other thing. I will overcome my challenges.”
The player also gave an update on his proposed departure from IfeanyiUbah: “We are still on it for now but we are yet to reach a compromise. I just want to regain full fitness again before talking about that.
“My representatives are presently working on that. I know that everything will be sorted very soon."
