Edubiase president plans Medeama downfall in FA Cup

New Edubiase United president Abdul Salam Yakubu believes his side will eliminate Medeama from the FA Cup as the two clubs meet in the round of 32 at the T&A Park on Sunday.

The Movers saw off local rivals Achiken FC in round 64 while Medeama eliminated Fijai Real United at the Essipong Sports Stadium.

“This is the FA Cup and it’s one of the country's best competitions. We’ve won it before and this time too we are doing well," Yakubu told Happy FM.

"Medeama are not an easy side since they've also won the competition twice but we have surprised them before at the T&A Park so we can repeat it this time around.

“We won’t regard them as a premier side and get intimidated since we're now in the second-tier. Whenever we meet the fixtures are very tough therefore we will prepare well to face them and hopefully we will achieve another surprises," he added.

In other games, Hearts will play Kotoku Royals, as Asante Kotoko travel to Swedru to play Proud United while Liberty Professionals and Wa All Stars lock horns with Uncle T United and Bolga All Stars respectively.
