AFC Leopards confirm two foreign signings

AFC Leopards have completed two more signings as they strive to build a strong team for next season.

Ingwe chairman Dan Mule has revealed to Goal that the club has signed Nigerian midfielder Henry Uche and Ghanaian striker Prince Ako. Mule confirmed that the two have signed a one year contract that can be extended beyond next season.

“The two players have signed a one year contract each. They have been training with us and coach Robert Matano is happy with their input. We have signed them ahead of next season.”

AFC Leopards are working round the clock to build a strong team as they strive to better their performance next season. Apart from competing in the KPL league, Ingwe will also represent Kenya in the Caf Confederation Cup.

AFC Leopards have been drawn to face Fosa Juniors of Madagascar in the Caf competition. The GOtv Shield champions will welcome the 2017 Coupe de Madagascar winners, between March 9 and 11 next year for the first round with the return leg set-to take place a week later (March 16-18).

If Ingwe sails past the opener, they will meet the winner between Cameroonian Ngazi Sport and six-time Mauritania champions AS Port-Louis 2000.

Ingwe have also signed Wilson Anakeya from Thika United, Ezekiel Otuoma from Western Stima, Nakumatt goalkeeper Ezekiel Owade, Ugandan winger Baker Alukoya, who was scouted from Soana FC, former Gor Mahia forward Ezekiel Odera and Western Stima midfielder Robert Achema.
