Man City Premier League Winner Odds @ 6/5 with bet365
Manchester City have been the toast of the Premier League for some time now, winning six titles under the overview of Pep Guardiola, having secured the last four on the bounce.
This is under threat from Arsenal and Liverpool as they not only have the ability to lead from the front but fight back against all the odds.
Little has truly changed in the City camp, their slew of fantastic players have remained, their manager seems as engaged as ever, and no side has made any major moves to try and combat their position.
The likes of Kevin de Bryune, Erling Haaland, Rodri, Phil Foden and Ederson are all still present, looking unlikely to go anywhere, and we know not even injuries act to halt this sky-blue freight train.
One must be aware of their impending 115 FFP charges, which if they were to hit would sink their season, but little to no movement has been heard about these for some time now.
The title looks well within reach once more, but at this price, a single wager isn’t really worth exploring, the value not quite being there, but if it were thrown into a double or more it could prove extremely handy.
Man City Champions League Odds @ 9/4 with bet365
Once again the mountaintop proved a step too far for City last year as it has so often, with their domestic efforts not translating onto the continent all that well.
Losing to the eventual victors Real Madrid in the quarter-finals was tough, but not totally unexpected, and yet City have flown straight back to the top of the betting again, with Real second at 3/1.
Even at this price, we're struggling to truly get behind City given they've always proved lacking in Europe, with just the one Champions League to their name.
Unlike most other competitions, the Citizens do not have pedigree on their side here, and whilst having one of the best squads in the world is handy, it doesn't always make the difference on the continent.
Man City Top 4 Finish Odds @ 1/10 with bet365
Similarly to that of the title push, lest something happens on the outside like a points deduction, City will finish inside the top four.
Few others look capable of seriously challenging them for a place here, with Liverpool an unknown quantity, Manchester United on the outs and Chelsea looking disoriented to say the least.
Their class aside, City look unlikely to be forced from this spot as challengers look slim, leaving them on their own near the top.
Man City Top 6 Finish Odds @ 1/25 with bet365
If City are favourites for the title and top four, this isn’t going to change for the top six, as the odds fly even further out.
All the analysis still stands, and the only thing that could truly keep from this berth is the FPP and possible points deductions.
Speculation has been rife around this point, and it looks set to drag on for ages and cannot be counted to spoil anybody's party.
Again, the odds do not offer any real masses of value and are worth avoiding.
Man City Golden Boot Winner Odds
Player | Odds |
Erling Haaland | 4/6 |
Phil Foden | 33/1 |
Jeremy Doku | 66/1 |
Kevin De Bruyne | 66/1 |
There has never been a shorter favourite for the Premier League Golden Boot, but this is the effect Erling Haaland has on odds, having now won this accolade in back-to-back years.
His first run out here was one of the best performances ever seen by a striker in the PL, and whilst the race last term went close, the Norwegian still managed to secure the award.
This was only courtesy of an injury that sidelined him, something he had been known for in his time prior to pulling on the sky blue kit.
At 4/6 his odds don't offer the value we would want for a player who has been known to suffer time off.
Haaland's dominance forces all other odds out, including that of his teammates, but it does offer a great price for Phil Foden.
The Englishman racked up 19 goals last term, as he showed what he can do in the absence of their main man.
Jeremy Doku is no doubt one of the most exciting players in City’s side, but he suffered a lack of starts last term, and this seems likely to plague him once more, with few departures to make space for him.
Should Haaland fall injured the mantle will fall at Foden’s feet, and he has proven to be able to pick up the slack, making him our choice this time round.
Man City To Go Unbeaten @ 25/1 with bet365
Despite all of his and their achievements, neither Pep Guardiola nor this Man City side have ever gone invincible, and whilst this would be their final step towards greatness, one just cannot see this happening in the Premier League.
The closest they have ever come to this was their first title year with Pep when they faced just two losses, and whilst they may have only faced three last time out, it doesn’t seem to be getting any closer.
If any side were to be able to do it, one would say it is this Citizens outfit, but it just seems that step too far.
Man City Most Assists
Player | Odds |
Kevin de Bruyne | 5/2 |
Phil Foden | 20/1 |
Jeremy Doku | 25/1 |
De Bruyne was the only City player to finish inside the top 10 of assists last year, with Bernardo Silva coming second for his side with nine to his name,.
Barring another injury the Belgian playmaker is the pick of the bunch once again, with his cutthroat passes opening up some of the best scoring chances anywhere in the world.
His odds also offer a spot of value, one that may be worth exploring, but of course injuries could hamper him once more.
Phil Foden enjoyed the goals far more than he did the assists last term, and this looks unlikely to change, even if De Bruyne goes out, there are others better placed to pick up the slack, even if he did pick up eight.
Doku turned in the exact same amount of assists as Foden, in far fewer minutes, with his turns off the bench often bearing fruit.
Should the Belgian winger find a way into that starting XI, he could well challenge for this one seriously and at 25/1 looks like a great price to do so.
Either Belgian looks like a half-decent option in this market, but our eyes linger on Doku, who if he gets the minutes, could set the league alight.
Man City Golden Glove - Ederson @ 7/2 with bet365
Ederson may have won the Golden Glove three times in the last seven years, and whilst the Brazilian is a truly excellent goalkeeper, it looks a little beyond this edition of the City team.
The prized defensive performances abandoned them last year, as they favoured scoring in droves over keeping their opposition out, keeping just 13 clean sheets last term.
Ederson equally can prove injury prone, having missed time over the last two seasons, something else that needs bearing in mind for this wager.
Generally, a larger priced outsider would be a better choice, given City’s newer style and the Ederson wager not loving supremely valuable on its own.
