Clint Dempsey has reached the 50-goal mark for the Seattle Sounders, making him the second player in club history to hit a half-century.
The former Fulham star has netted 44 times for the club in MLS play, three times in the playoffs, twice in the CONCACAF Champions League and once in the U.S. Open Cup.
Dempsey's 50th came in the 36th minute of Saturday's match against Sporting Kansas City, heading home a cross from Jordan Morris to put his side 1-0 up.
The 34-year-old scored twice his last time out against Minnesota United and has now netted 10 times in league play this season.
Fredy Montero is this only other player in Seattle history to reach the 50-goal mark, having scored 60 during his time with the club, including 47 league goals.
Dempsey's goal proved to be the winner for the Sounders, who have now gone eight matches without a loss and have climbed to the top of the Western Conference.
