Maisons Alfort FC Overview

Barcelona training saw a familiar face from the Premier League this week as former Arsenal and Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi arrived at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The retired centre-back was present to get an up-close look at the high-flying Blaugrana under the guidance of Hansi Flick.

William Gallas believes Arsenal defender William Saliba would find it incredibly difficult to turn down a transfer to Real Madrid. The former France international claims the Spanish giants operate on a completely different level to the Gunners despite Mikel Arteta's recent success.

Steve McManaman claims he feels sorry for Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz because of Arsenal's cautious tactical approach under Mikel Arteta. The former England international believes the two forwards often face unfair criticism when the team prioritises defensive solidity over free-flowing attacking football.

Mikel Arteta has dismissed concerns regarding Declan Rice's fitness after Arsenal's narrow Champions League victory over Slavia Prague. The midfielder looked exhausted during the second half, prompting fears that the Gunners rely too heavily on his energy in the centre of the pitch.
