On the team news front, Torino remain without long-term absentees Perr Schuurs and Duván Zapata, though the Colombian striker edges closer to a late-August return. Summer recruit Ardian Ismajli will also miss out until September with a thigh problem.
Even so, Baroni has fresh options to call upon: Tino Anjorin, Zakaria Aboukhlal, Giovanni Simeone, and Cyril Ngonge could all feature, with Simeone and Ngonge arriving on loan from Napoli. Outgoings have also shaped Toro’s midfield, as Samuele Ricci departed for Milan, leaving questions over who will partner Cesare Casadei.

As for Modena, loanee Alessandro Dellavalle hopes to line up against his parent club despite nursing a muscular issue, while Fabio Ponsi and Giuseppe Caso are unlikely to feature.
