How to watch today's Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich German Super Cup game: Live stream, TV channel, and start time

DFB-Pokal holders Stuttgart lock horns with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this Saturday in the German Super Cup showdown at the MHPArena.

Bayern, making their 14th appearance in the competition, are no strangers to this stage — a testament to their long-standing dominance on the domestic front. They earned their place after yet another league triumph, though their most recent Super Cup success dates back to 2022 when they toppled RB Leipzig.

Stuttgart arrive with the wind in their sails after lifting the DFB-Pokal in style, seeing off Arminia Bielefeld 4-2 in a pulsating final. They’ll be eager to prove they can stand toe-to-toe with Germany’s heavyweights, with victory here serving as a statement of intent ahead of the new campaign.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch, including TV channel information, streaming details, and more.

Injuries and Suspended players

VfB Stuttgart team news

In terms of selection, Luca Jaquez and Julian Chabot have been regulars in Stuttgart's pre-season backline and are tipped to start.

Midfield orchestrator Angelo Stiller should reprise his role as the team's metronome, likely alongside Atakan Karazor. In attack, Deniz Undav and Nick Woltemade look the prime candidates to lead the line, flanked by the pace and width of Jamie Leweling and Chris Fuhrich.

Bayern Munich team news

For Bayern, boss Vincent Kompany could hand a competitive debut to left-wing recruit Luis Díaz, while creative livewire Michael Olise may line up on the opposite flank to supply Harry Kane

Unfortunately for the Bavarians, they’ll be without Jamal Musiala, whose serious injury in July’s Club World Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain will sideline him for several months.

Midfield general Joshua Kimmich should be a lock in the XI, while with Aleksandar Pavlović nursing an eye problem, Leon Goretzka is the frontrunner to partner him in a double pivot. Newly signed centre-back Jonathan Tah, arriving on a free from Bayer Leverkusen, is expected to slot in beside Dayot Upamecano.
