The Colorado State Rams (1-3) hit the road to face the San Diego State Aztecs (3-1) on Friday night in San Diego, with both squads opening up Mountain West play at Snapdragon Stadium.
The Aztecs enter at 3-1 after grinding out a 6-3 rock fight against Northern Illinois. San Diego State fell behind 3-0 early, clawed back to even things in the second quarter, and then sealed the win late with a clutch field goal in regulation.
Colorado State, on the other hand, slipped to 1-3 after falling 20-3 to Washington State last weekend. The Rams actually drew first blood with an opening-quarter field goal, but their offense stalled from there while the Cougars rattled off 20 unanswered points.
