Galaxy’s form in the Leagues Cup has defied their inconsistent MLS run. They opened the group with a resounding 5-2 victory over Tijuana, followed by a 1-1 draw with Cruz Azul, and sealed qualification with a convincing 4-0 rout of Santos Laguna.

Despite three defeats in their last five matches overall, Galaxy have scored 11 and conceded 11 goals in that stretch, with attacking highlights from Joseph Paintsil—who has three goals from three matches..
