Castellanos continues to do it all. The electric sophomore has completed 45 of 70 passes for 848 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions, while also rushing for 217 yards and four scores — second most on the team. Backup Kevin Sperry (8-of-10, 125 yards, two TDs) has seen some snaps, while Brock Glenn and Michael Grant have also gotten spot work under center.
The Seminole ground attack is deep, with Gavin Sawchuk leading the way (42 carries, 234 yards, six touchdowns). Behind him, Ousmane Kromah, Micahi Danzy, Samuel Singleton Jr., Jaylin Lucas, and Zay Parks all contribute in a rotating backfield that can wear down any defense.
In the passing game, Duce Robinson has emerged as Castellanos’ go-to man, tallying 17 catches for 346 yards and three touchdowns. Danzy is the only other player over 100 yards receiving, hauling in seven passes for 168 yards.
Special teams have been sharp as well — Jake Weinberg is a perfect 27-for-27 on extra points and 3-of-4 on field goals (long of 45). Brunno Reus has handled backup duties cleanly when called upon.
The Seminoles will get a boost this week with the expected return of running back Roydell Williams, who went down against Alabama. On the flip side, safety Ashlynd Barker is questionable after exiting last week’s contest against Virginia.

For Beck, this season has been a redemption arc in every sense. After a shaky 2024 campaign at Georgia, the transfer has looked reborn in Coral Gables — commanding Miami’s offense with poise and precision. The Hurricanes have stormed to wins over Notre Dame, South Florida, and Florida, surrendering just 22 points total in their last three outings. That’s the kind of defensive discipline that wins titles.
Containing Castellanos, however, is no easy feat. The Florida State quarterback has the kind of improvisational flair that can make even elite defenses look foolish. Still, the oddsmakers like Miami’s balance, experience, and depth to carry them to 5-0.
Beck's numbers back up the hype: he’s completed 82 of 112 passes for 972 yards, tossing seven touchdowns against three picks, while adding a rushing score for good measure. Backup Emory Williams has been efficient in limited action (10-of-14, 108 yards). On the ground, Mark Fletcher Jr. is the engine — 66 carries, 388 yards, and five touchdowns — with CharMar Brown providing a sturdy complement (49 carries, 206 yards, four scores).
The receiving corps has been sharp, led by Malachi Toney’s 22 receptions for 268 yards and a touchdown. CJ Daniels (18 catches, 191 yards, three TDs) and Keelan Marion (11 receptions, 125 yards) have also stepped up as reliable targets. Special teams remain steady, with Carter Davis perfect on all 14 extra points and four field goals, including a 53-yard bomb. Bert Auburn and Will Rocha have each contributed to spot duty.
Miami could be without a pair of offensive playmakers, though — JoJo Trader and Jordan Lyle are both listed as questionable for Saturday.
