Nick Rimando has hit another milestone, earning his 200th win in Major League Soccer play as Real Salt Lake took a 3-2 victory over D.C. United on Saturday.
The 38-year-old can count a number of MLS records among his sterling goalkeeping resume, and his 200th victory puts him 20 ahead of Kevin Hartman as the league's all-time leader.
Rimando also holds the top marks for games played, games started, minutes played, saves and clean sheets.
After starting his career in 2000 with the now-defunct Miami Fusion, where he made 47 appearances, Rimando played nearly 100 matches for D.C. United before moving to Salt Lake ahead of the 2007 season.
Since joining RSL, Rimando has become one of, if not the, top goalkeeper in the history of the league.
A five time MLS All-Star with two MLS Cup titles to his name - one with D.C. United in 2004 and another with RSL in 2009, where he was named MVP of the MLS Cup final - Rimando has made over 300 appearances with Salt Lake and helped the club to eight post-season appearances.
While widely considered one of the best goalkeepers in MLS history, Rimando has spent the majority of his career serving as backup to Tim Howard and Brad Guzan on the international level, though he did make the 2014 World Cup roster.
The win moved Salt Lake to 13 points from 10 matches this season, good for fifth place in the Western Conference.
RSL will be back in action next Saturday, with the club facing a road trip to take on the Philadelphia Union.
